UniFi is a strong platform for offices, restaurants, warehouses, churches and larger homes — when it is designed and configured properly. Harold Ragan Communications installs complete UniFi networks across Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale, Fayetteville and the rest of NWA: the gateway, managed switches, access points, VLANs and guest Wi-Fi, cabled and tested, with the controller set up so you can actually see what is happening.
UniFi gateway set up as your router and firewall — DHCP, DNS, port rules, VPN where needed, and dual-WAN if you have a backup connection.
Switches sized for your port count and PoE budget, so access points, cameras and phones get power and data on one cable.
Ceiling- or wall-mounted APs placed for real coverage and capacity, each hard-wired back to the switch — no daisy-chained mesh unless the building truly requires it.
Separate networks for staff, guests, point-of-sale, cameras and IoT gear, with guest traffic kept away from your business devices.
UniFi controller configured, firmware updated, devices named and sites organized, with admin access handed to you — not locked in our account.
Outdoor APs for patios, yards and lots, and point-to-point bridges to bring detached buildings onto the same network.
We do — across the whole Northwest Arkansas metro. Harold Ragan Communications is the networking and telecommunications division of Harold Ragan CodeWorks, and UniFi is the platform we install most for small and mid-sized sites. It suits offices and professional suites along the Bentonville–Rogers corridor, restaurants and retail in Springdale and Fayetteville, warehouses and shops in Lowell, and larger homes in Bella Vista, Centerton and Cave Springs.
We are an independent installer. We are not affiliated with or authorized by Ubiquiti; we choose UniFi because it gives small businesses enterprise-style features — VLANs, managed switching, centralized visibility — without enterprise licensing, and because it is what we would want to support ourselves.
A lot of the UniFi work we see is cleanup: access points mounted in the wrong places, every device on one flat network, a controller nobody can log into, outdated firmware, or an AP meshing wirelessly because it was never cabled. We can audit an existing UniFi deployment, fix the configuration, re-cable what needs it and document the result. See network troubleshooting.
More access points is not automatically better. Too many APs on overlapping channels interfere with each other. We place APs for the building’s layout, wall materials and where people actually use devices, then set channels and transmit power instead of leaving everything on auto.
A typical small-business layout separates staff devices, guest Wi-Fi, point-of-sale or payment terminals, security cameras and phones. That limits what a compromised guest device or smart TV can reach, and makes problems easier to isolate.
Every AP and switch is cabled properly back to a rack or closet, and the switch PoE budget is checked against what is plugged in. Where the cabling itself is the problem, our structured cabling team handles it in the same project.
We look at the space, the existing gear and cabling, and what the network needs to support.

Mount, cable and adopt every device; build the VLANs, Wi-Fi networks and firewall rules.
Walk-test coverage, verify roaming and guest isolation, and hand you admin access and documentation.

No. We are an independent network installer and are not affiliated with Ubiquiti. We install and support UniFi equipment because it is a good fit for many small-business and larger-home networks.
Yes. We regularly audit and fix existing UniFi networks — AP placement, VLANs, firmware, controller access and cabling — and document what is there.
Access points alone can work with another router, but a UniFi gateway gives you one place to manage the firewall, VLANs, guest network, VPN and dual-WAN failover. We will recommend what fits your site.
Yes. We put guests on their own VLAN and Wi-Fi network with client isolation, so guest devices can reach the internet but not your computers, printers, cameras or payment terminals.
You do. We set up admin access for you and keep our own access only if you want us to support the network.
Yes, mainly larger and custom homes where consumer mesh systems fall short. See our whole-home network wiring service.
New install, expansion or a UniFi system that needs fixing — tell us about the site and we will get back to you with next steps and a fixed quote. Harold Ragan Communications, the networking division of Harold Ragan CodeWorks.
